Samsung Brings Galaxy S25 Ultra to SLS Super Crown World Championship, Offering a New Perspective on Skateboarding's Biggest Stage

Samsung and SLS Partner for a Revolutionary Skate Viewing Experience with Galaxy S25 Ultra at Super Crown World Championship

Samsung is partnering with Street League Skateboarding (SLS) for the Super Crown World Championship in São Paulo, using its technology to record skateboarding tricks from multiple perspectives. The goal is to give fans an immersive viewing experience with live streaming and instant replays. Galaxy S25 Ultra devices will be positioned around the course to provide unique camera angles and facilitate live broadcasts. Rayssa Leal, three-time world champion and Samsung Galaxy skater, contributed to the project, aiming to capture the essence of skateboarding for a global audience. Leal stated, "Skateboarding’s all about sharing tricks and feelings, and recording them is just what we do. I’m stoked that fans can feel it like I do from my board... Samsung’s tech is bringing us closer than ever." Gustavo Assuncao from Samsung Brazil said the collaboration is about "reimagining mobile experiences through visual innovation," adding, "By bringing the Galaxy S25 Ultra to SLS tracks, we’re changing how fans see skateboarding and creating expressive visuals. [We] can’t wait to keep pushing these limits for skate fans worldwide."

Samsung and SLS Collaborate to Revolutionize Skate Viewing Experience Beyond Super Crown World Championship

Brett Clarke from Thrill One Sports (formerly Thrill Sports), SLS's parent company, emphasized the integral role of cameras in skateboarding culture. He said, "We’re stoked to team up with Samsung to bring you even cooler ways to watch and experience the sport, making it easier for fans to connect with their favorite skaters." Samsung and SLS intend to expand their collaboration beyond the Super Crown World Championship. Future seasons may incorporate new camera technologies and interactive elements designed to heighten viewer engagement. The Galaxy S25 Ultra, with its advanced camera system, will enable the capture of dynamic perspectives to simulate the experience of being at the competition. Building on this event, Samsung and SLS plan to collaborate through 2026 to develop new tech-driven skateboarding experiences. Founded in 2010, Street League Skateboarding (SLS) transformed street skateboarding into a global sport by creating a standardized format for competition and professional advancement. The SLS Championship Tour hosts events in major cities, where skaters compete for top prizes. Additional information can be found at Streetleague.com. This partnership seeks to enhance the skateboarding viewing experience through technological innovation, bringing fans closer to the sport they enjoy.
