Resident Evil Survival Unit Exceeds 2 Million Downloads

Resident Evil Survival Unit Soars to New Heights with 2M Downloads in 10 Days

Capcom's mobile game, Resident Evil: Survival Unit, topped the free games chart on the US Google Play Store and became the most-downloaded free app in over fifteen countries on the iOS App Store, including Japan, the UK, France, and Germany, shortly after its November 18, 2025, release. The game reached two million downloads within ten days and had garnered two million pre-registrations before launch. It currently ranks as the eleventh most popular free game on Google Play. Developed by Joycity Corporation, Resident Evil: Survival Unit was first revealed in July of the previous year. Shinji Hashimoto, co-creator of Resident Evil and Kingdom Hearts, spearheaded the project, creating a combination of the Resident Evil universe and real-time strategy gameplay. To celebrate its successful launch, Capcom and publisher Aniplex Inc. are offering an in-game reward to all players who redeem the promo code "2M SURVIVORS" on the game's official code redemption site. While it is still early to fully assess its performance, Resident Evil: Survival Unit appears to be achieving greater initial traction compared to other recent Resident Evil releases on iOS and Android.
