Leaks Surface for Game Awards 2025 Announcement Amid Weekend Tease - Elder Scrolls 6, God of War Speculations Debunked

Game Awards 2025 Hype Builds Around Diablo 4 Expansion and Potential Nintendo Switch 2 Release

The Game Awards 2025 will take place on Thursday, December 11th, promising world premieres, endless advertisements, inevitable cringe moments, and Hideo Kojima occupying the stage for five minutes. While sources expect Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to dominate the awards with a record number of nominations, the main attraction remains the new game and content announcements. Despite some information leaking beforehand, Geoff Keighley and his partners have generated considerable hype, including the unveiling of a large statue representing one of the reveals. This statue, depicting an ambiguous fantasy scene within a desert landscape reminiscent of the Mojave Desert, sparked widespread speculation after a video circulated online. Initially, theories focused on The Elder Scrolls 6 (due to long anticipation), Saros (because the studio promised updates), and a God of War installment set in Egypt (due to the desert theme). However, journalist Jez Corden, with his inside knowledge of Microsoft, tempered the rampant speculation. Corden reported that the teaser points to an upcoming expansion for Diablo 4, expected by mid-2026. According to his sources, Blizzard and Microsoft are planning a major announcement, potentially including a Diablo 4 version for the rumored Nintendo Switch 2.
