EA to Release Paid Update for F1 2025 Instead of New Game in 2026

F1 2026 Expansion Coming Instead of New Game in 2027 - EA Sports F1 Continues with a Revamped Experience

Instead of releasing a completely new title next year, Electronic Arts and Codemasters will offer F1 26 as a major update to F1 25. This "Premium Content Update," launching in 2026, will include all the new cars, rules, teams, and drivers from the 2026 season, with pricing details to be announced later. According to Codemasters Senior Creative Director Lee Mather, this is not a permanent change for the EA Sports F1 series. "F1 25 has been a massive hit, thanks to fans enthusiasm and the energy of motorsports," Mather said. "With Formula 1s momentum both on and off the track, nows the perfect time to look ahead. Were totally committed to [the] EA Sports F1 franchise. Our plan for this year will keep the thrill going with the 2026 expansion, and in 2027, well reimagine the F1 experience for even more players worldwide." As part of that commitment, Electronic Arts and Codemasters plan to release an entirely new EA Sports F1 game in 2027, promising an enhanced experience.
