Electronic Arts Cancels F1 26

F1 2026 Season Update Replaces Annual Release from EA

Electronic Arts (EA) has announced that instead of releasing "F1 26," they will launch a 2026 season update as a paid expansion for last year's "F1 25." This approach will deliver updated cars and drivers while allowing the development team more time to accommodate the significant changes coming in the 2026 season and create a more substantial game for 2027. According to Lee Mather, Creative Director at Codemasters, this strategy ensures both new and existing fans receive a high-quality experience. EA will update "F1 25" to reflect the developments of each season, moving away from annual game releases. While the price and release date of the 2026 season update have not yet been announced, fans await further details.
