According to Bloomberg, mass production of the Switch 2 is slated to begin by the end of 2024. The company intends to ensure ample console availability during the crucial holiday season and early 2025 sales periods. One major factor contributing to this production boost is the expected launch of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which Nintendo anticipates will drive sales this fall. Though Pokémon Legends: Arceus faced some initial criticism, similar to other entries like Scarlet and Violet (which still sold over 26 million copies), the Pokémon franchise remains exceptionally popular.
