PlayStation Unveils FlexStrike, First Wireless Controller Tailored for Fighting Games

Introducing FlexStrike: Next-Gen Wireless Fighting Controller with DualSense Compatibility and Interchangeable Ports

PlayStation has unveiled its new wireless fighting game controller, the FlexStrike, internally codenamed Project Defiant. The FlexStrike features mechanical swap buttons and interchangeable ports, including square, circular, and octagonal options, with built-in storage for convenience. The package includes a USB PS Link adapter, a carrying case, and a rechargeable battery. For enhanced connectivity, a single USB PS Link adapter serves multiple purposes. It enables simultaneous connection of the FlexStrike with either Pulse Elite or Pulse Explore headphones for PlayStation Link audio. The adapter can also connect two FlexStrike controllers concurrently. Furthermore, the controller supports DualSense compatibility, allowing a DualSense controller to remain connected to the PS5 alongside the FlexStrike. The FlexStrike also replicates DualSense control inputs, offering extensive personalization options for players. Its design prioritizes comfort and stability, featuring angled surfaces and an anti-slip base. High-quality custom digital controls contribute to a premium user experience. Players will get their first look at the FlexStrike during its debut at EVO 2025 in Las Vegas, taking place from August 1st to 3rd. An official release for the controller is slated for 2026.
