The return of the Silent Hill franchise is progressing well. Following the release of the free demo, “The Short Message,” which was downloaded over 3 million times at the start of the year, we now know that Silent Hill 2 Remake has sold its first million copies in just one week. This notable success is being celebrated by both Konami and Bloober Team, particularly given the initial skepticism, especially after communication issues led to misrepresenting the game as a testosterone-fueled action title. However, horror has reclaimed its place, and this modern adaptation has successfully captivated players.
Reminders are given that other Silent Hill games are forthcoming, specifically Townfall and Silent Hill F, which will expand the offerings and continue to provide us with horror experiences from a different perspective. This should genuinely reassure fans.
