Currently playable as part of the Stream Next Fest, The Precinct is set to receive a physical release, thanks to Microids. Indeed, the French publisher has collaborated with Fallen Tree Games Limited and Kwalee to confirm that the game will indeed be available beyond Steam, the PlayStation Store, and the Xbox online store. This move by Microids demonstrates their recognition of the enthusiasm for this title, allowing players to take on the role of young officer Nick Cordell Jr. in 1980s America. His mission is to uphold order and justice by preventing crime from escalating, with procedurally generated offenses ranging from parking violations to bank heists. This partnership brings satisfaction to Microids’ CEO, Stéphane Longeard, and Kwalee’s VP of Publishing for PC and Consoles, Ben Forrester.
Stéphane Longeard: “We are pleased to announce the creation of a ‘third-party publishers’ department, which will enable us to extend our expertise to new partners while also strengthening relations with our historical partners. These strategic partnerships demonstrate our ability to collaborate effectively with major players in the sector, thereby offering an exceptional diversity and quality of games to our audience. We are particularly enthusiastic about bringing the retail versions of The Precinct to a global audience and continuing to enrich our catalogue with iconic titles.”
Ben Forrester: “We are pleased to partner with Microids to introduce The Precinct to a wider audience. Their expertise in physical distribution aligns well with our vision for the game, and together we are committed to delivering an exceptional gaming experience that will resonate with fans globally.”
