The disappearance of Akira Toriyama continues to be a topic of concern for many, but Bandai Namco Entertainment must maintain communication regarding Sand Land as its release is anticipated for next month. Following the recent deployment of a playable demo that featured exploration with Beelzebub, Rao, and Thief in part of the map, players are now introduced to Forest Land—a territory unfamiliar to fans of Toriyama’s short manga series but created specifically for the video game. This new area offers an opportunity to explore beyond the burning desert dunes and into a nation where nature has reclaimed its rights and humans have established settlements. These locations are under the control of an army led by Muniel, described as a ruthless dictator despite his youthful appearance. His goal is to save his country by securing a supply of Aquanium, a powerful yet hazardous resource. Beelzebub and his companions will need to intervene in his plans and face off against both Muniel’s army and his generals.
The release of Sand Land is anticipated for April 26, 2024 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
