Jerry Bruckheimer, productor de la serie Piratas del Caribe, Recently stated in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that Johnny Depp’s return as Captain Jack Sparrow is possible. Depp’s prior legal issues with his ex-wife had kept him away from the franchise. However, Bruckheimer stated Depp’s return is contingent on his approval of the character’s writing. This comes despite Depp’s earlier testimony during legal proceedings, where he famously declared he would not return to the role, «not even for $300 million and a thousand alpacas.» Bruckheimer confirmed that Disney currently has two Pirates of the Caribbean projects in development: one starring actress Margot Robbie and another reboot which Bruckheimer himself is producing. Jeff Nathanson, who previously wrote the script for the fifth film in the series, is penning the script for this reboot. Bruckheimer noted that while he is pleased with the third part of the reboot’s screenplay, parts one and two still require further development. He also did not rule out the return of other original cast members to the franchise.
