Final Fantasy 14 auf Nintendo Switch 2 könnte möglich sein

Square Enix hat bei mehreren Spielen auf der Nintendo Switch 2 Hinweise gegeben, darunter auch Potenzielle Exklusivtitel. Allerdings ist Final Fantasy XIV noch nicht bestätigt für die neue Plattform. Trotzdem gibt es aktive Gespräche um das MMORPG auf den Konsolen zu bringen. Naoki Yoshida, Produzent von Final Fantasy XIV, bestätigte, dass die Verhandlungen mit Nintendo positiv laufen und er sich auf eine baldige Ankündigung hofft. Er sagte sein Ziel ist es, beide Final Fantasy XIV und Final Fantasy XVI so viele Spielern wie möglich zugänglich zu machen. Yoshida gab an, dass das Entwicklerteam sich tüchtig macht, um diesen Port ohne irgendwelche "Medien-Dramen" durchzuführen, sieht es als eine bedeutende Chance für die Erweiterung des MMO-Genres auf der Switch 2. Er schlug auch ein potenzielles Hybridspielstil vor, bei dem Spieler das Storyerlebnis auf dieser Plattform erleben können während sie die PC-Version für Raid und andere fortgeschrittene Aktivitäten nutzen.
