Clashing Brothers Unleash Chaos in The Wrecking Crew (2026)

Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista star in The Wrecking Crew, Prime Video’s first major release of 2026, scheduled for January 28. Angel Manuel Soto, known for directing Blue Beetle in the DC Extended Universe and Charm City Kings, directs the action-comedy, having replaced David Leitch, who was originally slated for the job. In The Wrecking Crew, Momoa plays a rebellious cop who constantly challenges his Navy SEAL half-brother, played by Bautista. As Jonny and James, the brothers must unite to solve their father’s murder in Hawaii. Despite their clashing approaches to life, they reluctantly join forces to find the culprits, and their investigation unleashes chaos and explosions. This film marks the first on-screen collaboration between Momoa and Bautista. The cast also includes Claes Bang, Temuera Morrison, Jacob Batalon, Frankie Adams, Miyavi, Stephen Root, and Morena Baccarin. David Hekili Kenui Bell, known for his roles in Hawaii Five-0 and Magnum P.I., also appears in the film; this was his final acting role before his passing on June 12, 2025.
