Aspyr Media has announced the removal of AI-generated voices from Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered, which it had previously introduced in an update. On its support site, the company stated, “We put out a patch to fix an unauthorized AI content issue we had. We took out all the AI voiceover stuff but kept other improvements from before.” This action follows reports from fans that Aspyr created new Lara Croft dialogue without the consent of her voice actors. The controversy intensified when a French actress, who voices Lara Croft, filed a lawsuit against Aspyr, alleging unauthorized replication of her voice and copyright infringement.
