Gran Turismo 7 Unveils Two Distinct Corvette Concepts for Vision Gran Turismo Project

As part of the Vision Gran Turismo project, Polyphony Digital has announced the addition of a pair of Corvettes to the game. These include the Cx.r Vision Gran Turismo concept car, which celebrates Corvette’s nearly 75-year legacy in motorsport, and the standard Cx Concept Corvette. Polyphony Digital and Chevrolet specifically designed both vehicles for Gran Turismo 7, offering a preview of potential future Corvette designs for the racetrack. The Cx.r Corvette will debut on La Piste, sporting its classic yellow and black livery, reminiscent of other Corvette GT cars. It features a lower chassis and more aggressive aerodynamics; active components, a twin-turbo V8 engine fueled by e-fuel, and two electric motors for a hybrid system enable this. Its interior design focuses on circuit racing, prioritizing driver safety. In contrast, the Cx Concept Corvette is engineered for both road and track use, thanks to an active aerodynamic system that ensures balanced performance. While it boasts a futuristic design, its core remains true to Corvette tradition. Its transmission incorporates RESS technology, enabling it to generate an impressive 2,000 horsepower from its four electric motors.
