This marks the conclusion of a prolonged anticipation for STALKER 2, which was revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase with its definitive and concrete release date. Players will finally have the opportunity to return to the contaminated lands of Prypiat, home to the Chernobyl reactor, on September 5, 2024. This announcement also provided GSC Game World developers an opportunity to reassure players following a gamescom 2023 trailer that did not meet expectations for many viewers, including journalists who were disappointed with their play experience. The additional eight months of development will allow for a significant overall quality improvement, evident in these particularly immersive images. The new video features some mutants, intense battles with soldiers, and arch-anomalies. The game also includes moments of respite through hubs where players can rest and prepare for upcoming missions.
