Ubisoft Reportedly Planning Remaster and Full Remake of Two Rayman Games

Ubisoft is planning to remake and remaster two classic Rayman titles, Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends, as part of its strategy to focus on remakes in the coming years. Details for Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition have surfaced, listing upgrades such as 4K 60fps graphics and modern quality-of-life improvements. This version will also include content previously exclusive to the PS Vita. Reports suggest new collectibles and gameplay enhancements are also part of this remaster, which may receive a physical release for the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. In addition to this remaster, Ubisoft is reportedly developing a full remake of Rayman Legends. Titled Rayman Legends Retold and codenamed Project Steambot during development, the remake is said to be handled by Ubisoft Montpellier. Expected to launch in October, the game is rumored to feature online cooperative multiplayer for up to four players, an expansion on the original’s local multiplayer. A physical edition for the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 is also rumored for Rayman Legends Retold.
