While Mewgenics has conquered PC, the developer will soon target Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 players. Though unconfirmed by official channels, speculation began after Edmund McMillen, co-creator of Mewgenics, posted an image of the game running on a Nintendo Switch 2. Tyrone Rodriguez, the other half of the development team, followed up with a shot of Mewgenics on a PS5. Mewgenics, a turn-based strategy game with roguelike elements starring feline characters, comes from the minds behind The Binding of Isaac and The End is Nigh. On Steam, the title holds a “Very Positive” average player review score and has peaked at over 115,000 concurrent players, surpassing many recent AAA releases.
