Yu Suzuki and ININ Games have revealed the first trailer for Shenmue III Enhanced, an updated version of the 2019 game slated for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2. The enhanced version boasts sharper 4K textures, more detailed environments and characters, faster loading times, smoother gameplay, and DLSS and FSR support. Players can also use the classic camera system from the first two Shenmue games and benefit from optional stamina-system tweaks and the ability to restore health before boss fights. Furthermore, the game features smoother progression due to lowered in-game cash barriers. Owners of the original PC or PS4 versions will be able to upgrade to the enhanced version for a reduced price compared to the Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2 versions. Preorders are now open for the standard, Special, and Collector’s editions.
