The Hundred Line Double Strike: A Two-Game Package from Aniplex

Aniplex, Too Kyo Games, and Media.Vision have announced that The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is, in fact, two complete games bundled together as “Package 12.” To emphasize this, an update will allow players to immediately access The Hundred Line 2, choose their starting point, and select specific chapters. The developers aim to spark greater interest in both games with this update and the game’s 100+ endings. The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is now officially recognized as a two-in-one package, consisting of The Hundred Line 1 and The Hundred Line 2. A special edition featuring new artwork will be available in Japan starting in April, coinciding with the game’s first anniversary. The Hundred Line Original Soundtrack will be available on all major streaming services starting January 17, 2026. A physical release of the 88-track soundtrack, composed by Masafumi Takada (No More Heroes), is scheduled for April 24, 2026. Pre-orders for the Director’s Edition of the soundtrack are available through Aniplex Online. The Director’s Edition costs 5500 JPY (approximately $34.80) and includes a bonus sticker page with character chibis. A limited physical edition featuring the Hundred Line 12 Pack key visual will also be released on April 24, 2026.

Development Horizons for The Hundred Line Expand with Narrative DLC and Switch 2 Edition

According to Kodaka-san’s recent comments, narrative DLC and a Switch 2 edition of The Hundred Line are potentially in development. In The Hundred Line 2, players can unlock Routes 1100 after completing Route 0. While a snippet suggested Alberto Garrido reviewed The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy in April 2025, the referenced blog post does not include that date. The developers plan to support the game by offering both versions of Last Defense Academy in a single value pack.
