Executive Producer of The Division Franchise, Julian Gerighty, Joins Battlefield Studios - Massive Entertainment Remains Committed to The Division Series

Julian Gerighty, Executive Producer of the Tom Clancy’s The Division franchise, is leaving Ubisoft to join Battlefield Studios. The announcement of his departure follows an interview a week prior in which Gerighty praised The Division 3 and its ambition. Massive Entertainment acknowledged Gerighty's departure on social media, stating, “Though we’ll miss him, his mark will remain at Massive Entertainment as we continue to bring the world he helped create to our players for years to come.” The studio also assured fans that the teams who developed The Division will continue their work with an "ambitious and unaltered commitment" to The Division 2, The Division 2: Survivors, The Division Resurgence, and The Division 3. Gerighty himself commented on social media, "Time to hang up my backpack (and put away the watch) for another great adventure... The future of The Division is bright, and I can’t wait for you to see what the teams have been working on. Long live The Division!"

Earlier in the week, Ubisoft announced a proposed organizational restructuring for Massive Entertainment, potentially leading to 55 dismissals.
