World Heroes Perfect Returns on Steam: A Neo Geo Classic Updated for Modern Tastes

Enhanced World Heroes Perfect on Steam: New Features for Smoother Gameplay and Deeper Strategy

SNK continues its update of the Neo Geo catalog with the release of World Heroes Perfect on Steam, as part of its NEO GEO Premium Selection. This cult 1995 fighting game has been updated with contemporary features, offering enhancements rather than a full remaster. The new version includes rollback netcode for smoother online play and a redesigned multiplayer experience. Lobbies now accommodate up to nine players and support various tournament formats, including single elimination, double elimination, and round-robin. Additionally, a comprehensive Training mode offers features such as adjustable game speed, allowing players to better learn combos and analyze game mechanics. Beneath its retro aesthetic, World Heroes Perfect features a technical gameplay system. Players can manage the Hero Gauge to enhance specific attacks and utilize broken guard mechanics, adding depth for those who wish to explore them. A Practice Mode, which was absent from the original release, has also been added. World Heroes Perfect is available on Steam for $19.99, with a launch discount bringing the price down to $14.99. This promotional price is available until May 8, 2026 (PDT), starting May 1, 2026 (PDT).
