Halo Studios is reportedly in the early stages of developing remakes for Halo 2 and Halo 3. These projects are in addition to the already confirmed remake of the first Halo game, Halo: Campaign Evolved. According to the Rebsgaming channel, a source with a track record of leaks concerning the Halo series, Halo 2 and Halo 3 remakes are actively in development. It is highly likely that these remakes will utilize Unreal Engine 5, the same engine planned for Halo: Campaign Evolved. Rebsgaming's sources indicate that Halo Studios is committed to redoing the trilogy, irrespective of Halo: Campaign Evolved's commercial performance. Fans have expressed mixed reactions to the news, noting a perceived shift in the series towards remakes and live-service spin-offs following the release of Halo: Infinite. One source, who previously leaked unreleased footage from Halo: Campaign Evolved, indicated that three prequel missions within that game will introduce the Brutes. These missions will establish a connection to Halo 2 and Halo 3, featuring Brutes with designs inspired by Halo Reach's concept art and wielding the Brute Plasma Rifle and Spiker.

Halo Studios Unveils Project Eker & Main Series Installment, Potential Release for Campaign Evolved on Multiple Platforms in July

Beyond the Halo remakes, Halo Studios is said to be working on at least two other projects. One is a multiplayer game, codenamed Project Eker, which was hinted at through a LinkedIn job posting for developers. This project is believed to be a new iteration of a previously rumored Battle Royale title known as Tatanka. The fifth project at the studio is expected to be the next installment in the main Halo series, though it is still considered to be a distant prospect. While Halo: Campaign Evolved currently lacks a firm release date, recent rumors suggest a potential launch on July 28 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, with early access beginning a few days prior.

In the dynamic world of gaming, EA Sports is poised to transform the FIFA Ultimate Team experience with their upcoming release, FIFA FC 27. According to Jonathan Dubinski's recent article EA Sports FC 27 May Feature Open World Mode, the developers are introducing an open-world feature for FUT Champions Mode, inspired by the likes of NBA 2K series. This ambitious addition promises a more immersive and expansive football experience as players explore a cityscape, marking a significant shift in how we interact with our favorite virtual pitch. Meanwhile, Bruno Pferd takes us on a retrospective journey in his latest post Bids Final Farewell to Halo Infinite, exploring Halo Infinite's last major operation, Operation: Infinite, which wraps up four years of intense action and community engagement. With over 200 new customization items and double Spartan points for daily challenges, it's a fitting send-off before Halo Studios shifts its focus to future projects like remaking Halo: Campaign Evolved. But that's not all – in an unexpected twist, Sophie Laurent hints at a potential new direction for the Halo series Rumor: Halo 2 and Halo 3 to Get Campaign Remakes. While Halo: Campaign Evolved is set to launch as a remake of the original campaign in Unreal Engine 5, Laurent's sources suggest that remakes of Halo 2 and Halo 3 could be on the horizon, sparking speculation about what this could mean for the future of Halo's multiplayer experiences and whether a standalone title like 'Halo 7' might be in the works.
