Injustice 3 Confirmed: Artist's Resume Leaks Info

Rumors surrounding the development of Injustice 3 are gaining traction, with new evidence suggesting the game is in progress. A resume from an artist affiliated with Warner Bros. Games, which was subsequently removed, listed Injustice 3 among other projects, including the sequel to Hogwarts Legacy. This marks the first concrete information regarding the game's development stage. Previously, a dataminer for MultiVersus also found information hinting at Injustice 3. Additionally, voice actors George Newbern (Superman) and Phil LaMarr (Green Lantern) have reportedly confirmed their involvement in the title at a convention. Further evidence suggests that NetherRealm Studios may be developing Injustice 3. Ed Boon has reportedly been working on a project for three years, likely Injustice 3. DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has also discussed new DC games with NetherRealm Studios. With Mortal Kombat 12 released in 2023, Injustice 3 is now the sole likely candidate for Boon's next significant undertaking. While some project timelines suggest a potential release around 2027, neither WB Games nor NetherRealm Studios has officially confirmed any details.

Injustice 3 on Horizon with Warner Bros., NetherRealm Studios and Summer Game Fest

This potential project aligns with NetherRealm Studios' established pattern of alternating between the Mortal Kombat and Injustice franchises. The last Injustice title, Injustice 2, was released in 2017. Given the enduring popularity of the DC license and Warner Bros.' current focus on revitalizing its franchises under James Gunn and Peter Safran, an Injustice 3 would represent a strategic and potentially successful venture. The timing for an official announcement appears opportune, with Summer Game Fest on the horizon. Such an event could serve as the ideal platform to officially reveal the game and potentially offer the first glimpse of Injustice 3 after years of speculation.
