Following SNK’s announcement of the Neo Geo’s return in AES form, the company has unveiled the first gameplay trailer for Wolfgang Krauser, marking his comeback in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as a DLC character. This announcement is especially significant for longtime fans, as it has been 18 years since Krauser, the main antagonist of Fatal Fury 2, last appeared in an official SNK game. Krauser returns with a modernized design, featuring updated armor, a prominent scar, and a more mature appearance. However, his gameplay remains true to his classic style, incorporating iconic moves like Blitz Ball and Leg Tomahawk, as well as his Kaiser Wave, which can be triggered in an ultimate fury. The trailer also features a revisited version of his musical theme, Mozart’s “Dies Irae.” Some viewers have noted the stage design, which positions the audience in the foreground instead of the musical performance. Wolfgang Krauser will be released in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves on April 24, 2026. His character breakdown trailer highlights his skills and moves. Fatal Fury Wolves’ Anniversary: Krauser’s Revenge, CR7 & Collaborations, Season 2 DLC, April 24 Update

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves also features collaborations with Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) and Faaast Penguin. Ken Masters from Street Fighter appears as well, thanks to a crossover between the two franchises. Krauser is available as a standalone purchase or through the Season 2 Pass, joining Kim Jae Hoon, Nightmare Geese, and Blue Mary as a DLC character. The Arcade Mode and South Town Episodes detail Krauser’s mission to take revenge against Terry Bogard. SNK will host an anniversary stream on April 22 at 8 p.m. PT. During the stream, they may discuss Krauser’s signature move, Hidden Gear, which combines his classic supers: Unlimited Desire barrage, Gigantic Cyclone, and Kaiser Wave. Following Krauser’s release on April 24, Ryo Sakazaki (with Mr. Karate’s mask) will be released as a DLC character in May.
