Warhorse Studios’ Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, an RPG exploring the relationship between characters Henry and Hans, has been nominated for two Gayming Awards 2026. According to a TechRaptor report on April 17, 2026, the game is nominated for the Fan Favorite award, and Hans Capon is nominated for Best LGBTQ Character. Creative Director Daniel Vavra welcomed the nominations, seeing them as recognition for the team’s work. In a statement to PC Gamer, Vavra said, “I wholeheartedly defend that the way we did it is precisely how such things should be done—it’s natural and educational (since it shows how things really were in the Middle Ages, without idealizing).” Vavra also commented on the game’s approach to gay romance. He believes Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 presents these relationships as a natural choice for players, similar to other character and mission options, ensuring that those uninterested would likely not notice them. He added that the idea to include gay romances was his, and he had to persuade some team members to accept it. Vavra has stated that he finds what he describes as “forced woke nonsense in the entertainment industry” tiresome.
