New Adventure Awaits in Minecraft Dungeons 2 (Fall 2026)

Mojang and Microsoft have announced Minecraft Dungeons 2, an action-adventure RPG set to release in Fall 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. As a sequel to the 2020 dungeon crawler, Minecraft Dungeons 2 will pit players against a rising chaos and an emerging threat in new locations. Released on March 21, the official trailer for Minecraft Dungeons 2 showcases the Deep Dark as a prominent location and Warden-inspired enemies. The trailer concludes with a glimpse of a mysterious portal from Minecraft’s Ancient City structures, hinting at its potential significance in the game's storyline. Minecraft Dungeons 2 will be available on day one for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. The game is expected to deliver a new storyline, challenging enemies, and cooperative gameplay options. Moreover, it may offer post-launch support similar to the first game, providing additional worlds to explore. Around the same time as the game announcement, Merlin Entertainments and Mojang Studios unveiled plans for a new Minecraft-themed park in the UK, slated to open in 2027. The park, estimated to cost around 58 million euros, will feature restaurants, attractions, and a store selling Minecraft merchandise.
