Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Arrives on PC with New Difficulty Mode and Technical Features

Kojima Productions has launched Death Stranding 2: On The Beach for PC, accompanied by a free update enhancing both the PC and PlayStation 5 experiences with new features like the "To The Wilder" difficulty mode, VR training, and graphical enhancements. Hideo Kojima himself edited the launch trailer, showcasing these additions. The update introduces "To The Wilder," an extreme difficulty mode designed to test players' porter skills in unforgiving environments. It also includes live-action cutscenes, expanded content for Sam's nightmares, new gear, and replayable boss fights (including Neil). PC players gain access to a new VR training area, "Trapped in a Strange Realm," where they can earn customizable bandanas. They can also take advantage of enhanced graphics options such as Ray Tracing on Reflections and Ambient Occlusion, alongside new photo opportunities with Felino Quiral. Plus, the Chiral Cat will now visit Sam in his room. The PC version boasts further technical enhancements, including support for NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS for improved upscaling and frame generation. It also supports super-ultrawide 32:9 monitors and features full DualSense controller integration with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. PlayStation 5 users will receive standard ultrawide (21:9) support.
