Starfield Expands to PS5 with Free Lanes, Shattered Space, and Terran Armada (April 2026)

Bethesda Game Studios' Todd Howard has confirmed that Starfield will launch on PlayStation 5 on April 7, 2026, accompanied by a major free update called "Free Lanes." The PS5 release will also include the Shattered Space expansion and a new story DLC called Terran Armada. Howard told IGN that a PS5 port was always planned, stating, "We've always wanted to do it... We have a great relationship with PlayStation." A Premium Edition of Starfield on PS5 will be available both digitally and physically for $70, including both the Shattered Space and Terran Armada expansions. The Terran Armada DLC can also be purchased separately for $10. According to Bethesda, the PS5 version of Starfield represents the most comprehensive update to the game since its initial launch, making it the most complete version to date.
