This Frightening Game Achieves Success on PS Plus

Silent Hill 2 Remake Surpasses 5 Million Players on PS Plus in Four Months

Konami announced that the Silent Hill 2 remake has reached 5 million players since being added to the PlayStation Plus catalog in October 2025. Previously, Konami reported 2.5 million units sold in the first year following the game's October 2024 release. The company shifted to measuring player count rather than units sold after the game's availability on PlayStation Plus. As of now, Konami has not updated the sales figures since October 2025. Therefore, the number of units sold since then, and the specific number of players who accessed the game through PlayStation Plus, remain unknown. However, the company's shift in metrics highlights the game's success on PlayStation Plus, reaching 2.5 million players in just four months—matching its first-year sales.
