MWC 2026: Galaxy AI Expands Across Entire Galaxy Ecosystem

At Mobile World Congress 2026, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S26 line, demonstrating its vision for a future where smartphones proactively understand and anticipate user needs. The expansive Samsung booth, covering over 1,700 square meters across nine distinct areas, attracted considerable attention as attendees experienced the latest advancements in Galaxy AI. The booth's entrance featured an art installation by Bahk Seon Ghi, constructed from recycled quartz glass. This piece symbolized the spread of Samsung's AI across its ecosystem, depicting light fragments converging on the Galaxy S26 line before radiating outward to other Galaxy devices. The Galaxy S26 line boasts several AI-driven enhancements: Intelligent Camera: Capture professional-quality images without needing specialized equipment. Super Steady 2 technology incorporates a horizontal lock for video recording, ensuring stable footage regardless of movement. Photo Smart 3 simplifies image editing through intuitive text-based commands. Privacy Screen: The Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces Privacy Screen 1, an on-demand, customizable filter that narrows the screen's viewing angle. This feature allows users to restrict visibility and configure the filter for specific applications.

Multimodal AI Interaction: Samsung demonstrated seven novel ways to interact with devices using voice, eye movements, and hand gestures. For example, users can request YouTube videos via voice command using Gemini, select search results by looking at them, and execute actions with hand gestures. Beyond smartphones, Samsung is integrating AI across its product lines: Galaxy Buds4 Pro: Samsung's commitment to audio excellence continues with the Galaxy Buds4 Pro, which delivers high-fidelity sound at 24bit/96kHz. The earbuds feature a two-way speaker system—a wide woofer for deep bass and a tweeter for clear treble—optimized for balanced audio. Ultra Clear Calls uses six microphones to isolate the user's voice and minimize background noise. Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation personalizes the listening experience. Galaxy AI tailors the sound profile to the user's ear shape and fit. Galaxy XR and Z Trifold: Samsung showcased new form factors, including the headset-style Galaxy XR6, which can modify virtual store layouts or examine 3D models, and the Galaxy Z Trifold, which features a large foldable screen. Users noted that running three apps simultaneously on the Z Trifold felt like using three separate phones. Samsung also highlighted its advancements in connected healthcare and security:

Samsung Health: Building upon its acquisition of Xealth, Samsung is integrating everyday wellness practices with medical care through Samsung Health, aiming to provide proactive health management. Enhanced Security: Knox Enhanced Encryption (Keep) protects personal data, while Knox Vault and Matrix safeguard connected devices and networks throughout the Galaxy ecosystem. Furthermore, Samsung underscored its commitment to sustainability with the Galaxy for the Planet 2030 initiative, focused on increasing the use of recycled materials, conserving water, and protecting natural resources. Samsung emphasized the importance of AI infrastructure, trust, and sustainability, presenting its smart factory technologies designed to improve product quality and production speed. MWC 2026 highlighted Samsung's vision for an AI-driven future, one where Galaxy devices seamlessly integrate into and enhance daily life. Important Considerations: The Privacy Screen 1 feature may cause some image quality variations outside the central viewing zone, and visibility of sensitive information may vary based on viewing angles and screen brightness. Super Steady 2 results depend on filming and editing conditions. Smart Photo 3 may require a network connection and Samsung account login; availability may vary by region and device, and generated images may include an AI-generated watermark.
