Arnold Schwarzenegger Confirms Receipt of Scripts for Most Demanded Sequels by Fans

Arnold Schwarzenegger's return to the Predator universe may be imminent, as the actor recently confirmed discussions with director Dan Trachtenberg about a potential role in a new film. This would mark Schwarzenegger's first physical appearance in the franchise since the original's release in 1987. Schwarzenegger revealed at the Arnold Sports Festival that 20th Century Studios has renewed interest in his character. Trachtenberg, who revitalized the series with Prey (2022) and is involved in upcoming projects like Badlands and Killer of Killers (2025), is offering him a part in the next Predator installment. Schwarzenegger immortalized the military character Dutch Schaefer in the first film, which became a classic in action and science fiction cinema. Despite the franchise's expansion, Schwarzenegger never physically reprised the role, although his image appeared in the epilogue of Predator: Killer of Killers. Given the series' current focus on evolving narratives, Schwarzenegger's future involvement might shift toward roles focused on military strategy or mentorship, rather than direct combat against extraterrestrials.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's Possible Returns to Commando Sequel and King Conan Film Discussed

Beyond the Predator franchise, Schwarzenegger's discussion about his future in Hollywood also touched on other projects. He revealed that he recently received a script for a Commando sequel, revisiting his role as ex-Colonel John Matrix from the 1985 action classic. Furthermore, discussions continue with studios about a new Conan the Barbarian film, often referred to as King Conan, which would depict the legendary warrior in his older, more mature years, with the weight of past battles shaping his wisdom and approach to combat.
