Pokémon Pokopia, a new cozy game for the Nintendo Switch 2 reminiscent of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, has become a cultural phenomenon. The game's popularity has extended beyond the gaming community, even capturing the attention of the White House. The White House shared an image on social media that resembled the cover art for Pokémon Pokopia, but with the title replaced by "Make America Great Again," one of Donald Trump's key campaign slogans. The image featured a Pokémon Center and various Pokémon, closely resembling official promotional materials from The Pokémon Company. In response, The Pokémon Company International released a statement to Time. Sravanthi Dev, a representative from the company, stated that they did not authorize the White House's use of their intellectual property: "We are aware of recent social content featuring images associated with our brand. We were not involved in their creation or distribution, nor was any permission granted for the use of our intellectual property. Our mission is to unite the world, and this mission is not affiliated with any political perspective or agenda."
