Surprise on Nintendo Switch Online: Celebrates MAR10 Day with these 3 classics

Nintendo Switch Online will celebrate MAR10 Day by adding three classic Mario titles to its retro game library. On March 10, subscribers to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack will gain access to Mario Tennis and Mario Clash on the Virtual Boy platform, along with Mario vs. Donkey Kong on the Game Boy Advance. Nintendo announced these additions in a tweet from its Portuguese branch, @NintendoPT, on March 4, 2026. Originally released in 1995, Mario Tennis and Mario Clash are being revived for the Virtual Boy. Mario Tennis was Nintendo's first tennis game featuring characters from the Mushroom Kingdom, including Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong Jr. Mario Clash reimagines the classic Mario Bros. arcade game, using the Virtual Boy's 3D to have players shoot shells between the foreground and background to defeat enemies in a maze of pipes. The Game Boy Advance library will expand with the original Mario vs. Donkey Kong, a platform and puzzle game from 2004 that serves as a spiritual successor to the 1994 classic Donkey Kong. This addition comes as Nintendo recently released an updated remake on the Switch.
