The anticipation for Forza Horizon 6’s gameplay and graphics has been satisfied with the release of new gameplay footage from Xbox and Playground Games, shared via IGN. The video highlights the game’s graphical fidelity, showcasing detailed scenery, lighting, shadows, and Japanese landscapes. Forza Horizon 6 will be available on PC through Steam and the Microsoft Store, as well as on Xbox Series consoles. The PC release is scheduled for May 19, with a PlayStation 5 release to follow in 2026. IGN’s exclusive month-long coverage included the nine-minute gameplay video, currently the most comprehensive look at the open-world arcade racing game. Racing fans can experience a preview of the Japan-based map in a Saleen S7. Premium Edition owners can begin playing on May 15, four days before the official May 19 release. According to Playground Games, Forza Horizon 6 introduces new features such as Car Meets and Seasonal Changes. The game also presents a new competition called the ultimate driver vs. track test, which combines time trials and obstacle courses in urban locations such as Tokyo City Docks, Sotoyama Ski Resort, and Irokawa Space Center. Players can earn up to three stars by completing these challenges within specific time frames.
