Wagner Moura Set for Jimmy Kimmel Live Ahead of Oscars

Wagner Moura, star of The Secret Agent and an Oscar nominee for Best Actor, is scheduled to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live this Wednesday, April 4, on ABC. While the program isn't broadcast in Brazil, the network posts clips on its YouTube channel (Jimmykimmellive) and social media after the show. This marks Moura's second time on Jimmy Kimmel Live. He previously appeared in 2016 to promote Netflix’s Narcos, where he played Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, a role that garnered him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Drama Series. During Wednesday's show, Moura will discuss Kleber Mendonca Filho's film, The Secret Agent, and its awards campaign. The appearance comes just before Oscar voting concludes at 5 PM Pacific Time (10 PM Brasilia time) on Thursday. The Secret Agent has earned nominations for Best Picture, Best International Feature, Best Ensemble Casting, and Best Actor. The Brazilian film has already won over 60 awards, though it faces strong competition in the International Film category from Joachim Trier's Valor Sentimental (Norway).
