The Apex Legends x Gundam event, uniting two legendary universes, begins March 10th. This collaboration brings iconic Gundam-inspired combat to Apex Legends, offering new gameplay, weapons, map updates, and cosmetics. During the event, the Moonbreaker map transforms into a Gundam-themed battlefield, featuring destroyed Mobile Suits scattered across the terrain, climbable Wing Gundam statues, and battling ships in the skies. Players can also utilize new Gundam-inspired mechanics and abilities: Buster Rifles: Found in Care Packages, these rifles aid in aerial reconnaissance, allowing players to scan through walls and mark enemies with laser beams that penetrate cover and explode on impact. Bit Staves: Functioning as shields, these staves absorb damage while pushing through enemy lines. Drone Command: This ability allows players to patrol, scan, and attack enemies in a designated territory. Destructor Rifle: Acquired from supply capsules, this rifle provides aerial reconnaissance, scanning through walls to tag opponents.

Wild Card Abilities: New abilities include Epyon’s Lash, Heavyarms Salvo, Zero Sacrifice, and Zero Rebirth. Epyon’s Lash adds a tactical pull magnet melee ability. Heavyarms Salvo tags foes for air support missile attacks after multiple hits. Zero Sacrifice activates a self-destruct explosion upon death, knocking back nearby opponents. Zero Rebirth allows players to enter the Void when downed and resurface with 1 HP (hit point), temporary invulnerability, and health regeneration. The event also introduces Legendary cosmetics, Gundam-inspired skins, and a Limited Edition Gunpla drop. Earning medals during the event unlocks further Gundam-themed items in the Rewards Store. To commemorate the Apex Legends x Gundam event, three limited-edition Apex Legends Gunplas will be available for online preorder starting March 18th: RG 1/144 Freedom Gundam Apex Legends Crypto Ver. RG 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero EW Apex Legends Valkyrie Ver. RG 1/144 Gundam Epyon Apex Legends Alter Ver. Apex Legends: Fissura is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and PC via the EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
