Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment have announced the Apex Legends x Gundam event, bringing elements of the iconic Japanese franchise to the popular free-to-play game. The event kicks off on March 10, 2026, and a trailer showcasing the collaboration is already available. The Apex Legends x Gundam crossover introduces new content, including the Buster Rifle (a weapon that drops from Care Packages) and Bit Staves (used as shields). Players can also utilize new tactical abilities such as Epyons Lash, Heavyarms Salvo, Zero Sacrifice, and Zero Rebirth. Eight Legends will receive Gundam-inspired skins: Alter (Gundam Epyon), Conduit (Gundam Aerial), Crypto (Freedom Gundam), Gibby (Xi Gundam), Mirage (Destiny Gundam Spec II), Octane (GQuuuuux), Revenant (Gundam Deathscythe Hell), and Valkyrie (Wing Gundam Zero). These skins will be available in the game store until April 14th and will cost 2,150 coins each. The event transforms Broken Moon into a massive battlefield, adding destroyed Mobile Suits, massive Gundam statues, and imposing showdowns to the landscape. Players can wield weapons like the Buster Rifle and employ special Gundam-themed abilities in this transformed environment.

Apex Legends x Gundam Weapon Skins & Melee Cosmetics Event (Mar 10 – Apr 14)

Players can acquire eight weapon skins themed after Gundam, including the Buster Rifle skin for the Kraber, the Destiny 99 skin for the R99, and the Aerial 301 skin for the R301. The event also features two Mythic melee cosmetics: the Epyon Heat Rod and the Beam Saber. The Heat Rod drops from Gundam Heat Rod Event Packs, and the Beam Saber comes from Gundam Beam Saber Event Packs. Limited-edition Apex Legends Gunpla models will be available for preorder online starting March 18th. Players can choose from RG1144 FREEDOM GUNDAM APEX LEGENDS Crypto Ver, RG 1144 WING GUNDAM ZERO EW APEX LEGENDS Valkyrie Ver, and RG 1144 GUNDAM EPYON APEX LEGENDS Alter Ver. This collaboration between the Japanese series and a Western shooter follows their previous work with Call of Duty. In addition to the themed skins, various weapon skins and Gundam rewards can be obtained by exchanging event points. Prepare for deployment and experience the fusion of these two iconic universes.
