Developers released the acclaimed puzzle roguelike—already celebrated as one of 2025’s best indie titles—via “shadow drop,” meaning it became available immediately after its presentation, without any prior release date announcement. Two other titles at this Indie World event also utilized this surprise-release strategy. In Blue Prince, players explore a 45-room mansion in search of the elusive 46th room. This seemingly simple mission involves solving intricate puzzles within a limited number of steps.
