New Horizons in Pokémon: Winds & Waves Unveiled for 2027

The Pokémon Company has announced Pokémon Winds & Waves, the next mainline games in the Pokémon series, introducing the 10th generation of Pokémon. The games are scheduled for release in 2027 as Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives. During a recent Pokémon Presents, The Pokémon Company released the announcement trailer for Pokémon Winds & Waves. The trailer showcased the new Water Gecko Pokémon, which has the special ability Torrent and stands at 1 foot (0.3 meters) tall, weighing 9.5 pounds (4.3 kilograms). In Pokémon Winds & Waves, players will explore an open world featuring diverse environments such as volcanic caves, sparkling oceans, and dense jungles, where Pokémon roam freely. Players will team up with various Pokémon to overcome obstacles and battle the elements. The trailer also introduced Mr. Windychu and Ms. Wavychu, a unique pair of Pikachu resembling vacationing tourists.
