Enhanced Earnings for Square Enix in Digital Entertainment Boosted by Hits and Remakes

Square Enix has informed investors and shareholders that strong performance in its video game business, along with increased commission revenues, is driving higher earnings this fiscal year. The company has therefore raised its profit and revenue estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. Successes in the Digital Entertainment sector, particularly with titles like Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles and Dragon Quest III HD2D Remake, as well as new ports of existing games, have contributed to this increased profitability. While Square Enix's projected sales remain at 1.5 billion, the company now expects to generate 264 million more in revenue (a 34.1% increase) and over 145 million more in profit (a 59.8% increase). Unexpectedly high revenues are also being generated from its rights and properties division. However, the company does not anticipate revising its final figures or proposing changes to share valuation.
