Pokémon GO is celebrating Rio's Carnaval do Flamingo from February 3rd to 8th with a global event, including special features for trainers in Rio de Janeiro! The festivities kick off with an exclusive temporary survey, launching February 3rd and available only to players in the Rio de Janeiro Metropolitan Region. Completing this survey rewards trainers with an encounter with Flamingo, a Pokémon making its debut in the game, appearing against a special Ipanema Beach backdrop. The official Carnaval do Flamingo party will take place on February 7th at Metropolitan Mall Barra, located in Rio's West Zone. Top local trainers and crews from the metropolitan area will be there, with both real-life and in-game activities planned. Attendees can collect postcards, try the claw machine for souvenirs, and snap photos with life-sized statues of the Pokémon GO team leaders—a first for Rio!
