Highguard: Official Launch of Free Raid Shooter in Brazil; Learn More

Wildlight Entertainment, the studio founded by former Apex Legends lead Dusty Welch, has released new details about its upcoming game, Highguard. This free-to-play, cross-platform 3v3 PvP shooter is set on a mythical fantasy continent and focuses on action-packed team battles with a blend of warfare, magic, and constant shooting. Players will take on the roles of Sentinels, arcane gunslingers who combine firepower and supernatural skills to invade enemy territory on horseback and gather resources. Victory depends on breaking through the enemy's barrier and destroying their base, but first, teams must fortify their own base for defense. The "Invader" mechanic fuels the all-out war. Securing the Invader empowers players to invade rivals, destroy bases, gather resources, and ultimately control the land. Highguard's core mechanic revolves around an encirclement strategy that emphasizes aggressive play. Teams must carefully time their attacks and manage resources to win open-field battles. The constant cycle of attacking enemy bases and defending their own creates non-stop action. Gaining territory control allows players to launch surprise attacks, further intensifying the gameplay.

Cross-Platform Launch of Free Highguard on Jan 26 for PS5, Xbox, & PC

Highguard will launch as a free, cross-platform game on Monday, January 26, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam), allowing players to team up with friends regardless of their preferred platform. Wildlight Entertainment will release further details soon.
