Dojo Maps is collaborating with Jacob Navok, CEO of Genvid, a Final Fantasy VII veteran, and Emmy winner, along with Matthew Ball, author of The Metaverse and an expert in games and virtual economies, to develop experiences within Fortnite. This partnership will use Fortnite's Creative mode, a significant hub for user-generated content (UGC) capable of supporting entire games with rapid production cycles and global distribution. Recently, Navok and Ball partnered with a Brazilian studio, demonstrating the maturity of the Fortnite ecosystem and Brazil's growing influence in innovative gaming experiences. Dojo Maps has established itself as one of Brazil's leading studios for UGC within Fortnite over the past three years, maintaining a strong production line in close collaboration with Epic Games. Their creations reach over 620,000 monthly players, and they have accumulated more than 30 million game plays across a portfolio of over 50 original projects. Noteworthy titles include The Sound Of Fear, which has garnered over two million players and was featured at the Gramado Film Festival, and Ecopa Super Race, the official Fortnite game of Ecopa 2025.
Expert Duo Navok and Ball Unveil High-Replayability Shark Snatch within Fortnite by Dojo Maps
Navok and Ball bring extensive experience to this collaboration. Navok, who heads Genvid and co-founded Prosimetrum, has held executive roles at Square Enix Holdings and contributed to interactive projects for a decade. His notable works include the Emmy-winning Silent Hill: Ascension, The Walking Dead: Last Mile, and Pacman Community. Matthew Ball heads Epyllion, an investment and consulting firm focused on TV, film, and game projects. He also co-founded the Roundhill Ball Metaverse ETF (NYSE: METV), which became the largest sector ETF launch in 2021. Their first collaborative project, Shark Snatch, is a strategy game within Fortnite that combines shark fishing, resource management, and player-versus-player action. Dojo Maps develops these experiences using Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), supporting the creation of complete games with fast production cycles. Shark Snatch is now available in Fortnite using map code 6671-8209-3592. This fast-paced, social strategy game centers around catching sharks, managing resources, and outsmarting opponents, offering high replayability due to its unpredictable gameplay and creative possibilities, further solidifying Dojo Maps' reputation as a top Brazilian Fortnite studio.
