Anthem Lives On

Anthem's Rebirth Through Community Servers and Single-Player Proposal

On January 12, 2026, Anthem's official servers went offline, but fans are determined to keep the game alive through a community-led revival effort. And799's recent video, showcasing Anthem running on independently hosted servers, has sparked excitement among players. While these private servers don't yet integrate Electronic Arts' (EA) services, the video demonstrates players teaming up within this community-run environment. Separately, Mark Darrah of BioWare has proposed rebuilding Anthem as a single-player game—a project that would require EA's approval and an estimated budget of $10 million. For now, fans are focused on the community-driven initiative, hoping to preserve Anthem's playability through these alternative servers.
