World of Warships: Legends Begins New Year Update

Wargaming's historically accurate multiplayer naval combat game, World of Warships: Legends, launched a January content update for consoles and mobile devices, featuring the Born in Battle campaign, the seventh wave of Azur Lane content, a French Navy event, and the Gouden Leeuw project. The Born in Battle campaign, available until February 23rd, offers 100 Warheads to complete for rewards like camouflages and chests. Players who complete the campaign with Admiralty support will receive the British Tier VIII premium destroyer Somme, equipped with long-range stealth torpedoes and a torpedo reload booster. The seventh wave of Azur Lane content, which launched on January 19th, introduces five new Azur Lane commanders. Players can also acquire the Italian Tier VII Al Vittorio Veneto, German Tier VIII Al AeGir, and Soviet Tier VI Al Tallinn cruisers, as well as the German torpedo-focused destroyer Z24, and a new crate and visual for the US Massachusetts.

The French Navy event includes thematic rewards and special boxes containing visuals for the French battleships Normandie, Lyon, Richelieu, Alsace, Bourgogne, Strasbourg, and Flandre. These boxes also offer a chance to obtain the premium Strasbourg or Flandre battleships. Players can also acquire chests through the new Guardian of Freedom calendar; completing it rewards players with the Commander Marianne appearance for French commanders. Additionally, players can participate in the Mer de Courage mission to unlock the French commander Charles Blery. Following the French Navy event, players can engage with the Gouden Leeuw project, featuring the Dutch galleon Gouden Leeuw, a Tier-level ship with an enormous capacity for launching airstrikes. Players can start collecting ship parts to unlock this vessel, and they can also begin a marathon spanning the next three game updates to unlock the Soviet Tier battleship Kremlin.

Additional updates include new seasons of Fleet Cup, Ranked Battles, and Brawls, along with the full launch of hybrid Japanese destroyers. From February 9th to 23rd, players can complete a special mission and receive discounts on ships, visuals, and commander appearances as part of Lunar New Year celebrations. Lunar New Year rewards include Prosperous Times and Bountiful Waters camouflages, themed containers, and 1,500 Lunar Tokens. Full update notes are available here.
