EA Delays Second Season of Battlefield 6

Delay in Battlefield Season Two Until February, Prioritizing Quality Over Quantity

Battlefield studio announced that Season Two has been delayed until February 17, based on community feedback. The game, released on October 25 to considerable success, initially planned to conclude its first season around January 20. However, shortly after the holidays, an update announced the extension of Season One, stating the studio prefers quality over a rushed release. The Battlefield team decided to delay Season Two to February, prioritizing a polished final product. Although details remain limited, players have frequently discussed issues such as hit registration and the desire for larger maps. The Season One extension provides players with nearly an additional month to complete their Battle Pass, alongside new content to keep players engaged until the next major update. Battlefield will launch the Season One Extension Update on January 20. Despite its initial popularity, player counts for Battlefield have significantly decreased since its launch, particularly on Steam. The delayed start of Season Two means players will experience an almost four-month gap without substantial new content, a considerable wait in today's rapidly updating gaming landscape. Titles such as Marvel Rivals maintain player interest through frequent updates and seasons, setting a high expectation even for established franchises like Battlefield.
