Delayed Battlefield 6 Season 2 Launches Feb 17 with Extended Season 1, Extra Content, and Special Events

Battlefield 6 Season 2 will now launch on February 17, a shift from the initially planned January release. EA and Battlefield Studios cited the need for additional development time to deliver a high-quality experience. To compensate for the delay, Season 1 will be extended until February 17. A January 20 update will continue the Season 1 Battle Pass and introduce new weekly challenges. The Frostfire Bonus Path, a special event within Season 1, arrives on January 27, offering rewards such as skins, weapon packs, and XP boosts. Premium pass holders will receive additional cosmetic items. In addition to the extended season, players can participate in Valentine's Day events, earn daily login rewards, and take advantage of double XP weekends. EA is also responding to community requests by working on improvements to map size and hit registration.
