Nioh 3: A Playable Demo Arrives Early 2026, Fiery New Trailer Unveiled!

Nioh 3 Demo Arrives January 29, 2026 - Prepare to Transcend for the Final Battle

Team Ninja seems determined to maintain excitement for Nioh 3. Following 45 hours of hands-on previews, Koei Tecmo confirmed at The Game Awards 2025 that a new demo for Nioh 3 will be available on January 29, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. This demo offers another opportunity to experience the series' demanding action, either solo or in online co-op with up to three players. Note that there will be no crossplay between platforms for the co-op mode. Nioh 3 was unveiled at The Game Awards 2020 with a high-energy gameplay trailer showcasing fast-paced combat, the ability to switch between Samurai and Ninja styles, epic boss battles, and diverse environments. Promising a challenging action-RPG experience with its blend of samurai, yokai, and demanding combat systems, the game is scheduled to launch on February 6, 2026, simultaneously for PS5 and PC. Save data from the demo will be transferable to the final game. Completing the demo will unlock the TwinSnake Helmet in the full game. According to Koei Tecmo, the demo primarily serves to prepare players to "transcend the limits of time to save Japan."

Nioh 3 Demo & Preorder Bonuses Unveiled - New Armor Sets, Discounts, and DLCs!

The publisher also unveiled new preorder bonuses. Players who opt for early purchase will receive bonus armor sets inspired by the protagonists from earlier games: the Youngblood Armor (Samurai) worn by William in Nioh, and the Lone Wolf's Armor (Ninja) worn by Hide in Nioh 2. These cosmetic items will complement the Hellfrost Armor Set, obtainable directly in the full game. Additionally, there's a special discount on the Steam version of Nioh: Complete Edition, offering the first title in the series at 90% off. Preorders are also open for the SteelBook edition of Nioh 3, which includes the base game, a fresh trailer, and two exclusive bonus DLCs with extra bosses. In February 2026, the British Museum in London will honor Nioh 3 and the entire franchise with a temporary exhibition dedicated to samurai. Players can get hands-on experience with the Nioh 3 demo starting January 29th, ahead of the game's full release on February 6th, 2026.
