Action-Adventure Collaboration: Evan Peters Voices Bradley the Badger in Soulslike Game by Day 4 Night Studios and Red Dead Redemption Designer

Davide Soliani, creative director of Mario + Rabbids, and Christian Cantamessa, designer of Red Dead Redemption, are collaborating on Bradley the Badger, a new action-adventure game aiming to break genre barriers. The game, the first project from Soliani’s new studio, Day 4 Night Studios, features the voice of Evan Peters (Marvel) as the main character, Bradley. Inspired by titles like Wreck-It Ralph and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, as well as the works of Charlie Kaufman, Bradley the Badger is a heartfelt tribute to video games, currently in development for PC and potentially coming to consoles. Day 4 Night Studios, led by Davide Soliani with developers formerly of Mario + Rabbids and Red Dead Redemption, revealed the game at The Game Awards 2025, showcasing a trailer that takes a darker turn, resembling a Soulslike or Bloodborne-style experience. Cantamessa began his career working on Donald Duck: Goin’ Quackers and Rayman M before joining Rockstar Games for Red Dead Redemption. Soliani has also been involved with the Rayman series for many years. Before joining Day 4 Night, Cantamessa contributed to the Perfect Dark reboot prior to its cancellation.

Action-Satirical Odyssey: Bradley the Badger – A Game within a Game by Day 4 Night Studios

According to its Steam page, Bradley the Badger is both an ode to video games and a satire, telling a story inspired by its own production challenges. The developers’ experiences with the doubts and difficulties of creating new worlds served as further inspiration. The game also pays tribute to classic games from earlier eras, blending past and present mechanics with irreverent puzzles, action exploration, and live-action satire. Bradley the Badger features exploration, traversal, and mind-bending free-form puzzles. “The Kit,” a tool within the game, allows players to modify unfinished assets using functions such as Scale, Transfer, Tessellate, Explosive, Extrude, and Manipulator, along with additional powers like COPY, GRAVITY, LIQUIFY, and DEBUG. The game unfolds across various worlds inspired by famous games, all trapped in an endless production cycle, mirroring a situation relatable to the creators of Bradley the Badger.
